Energy Communities Tipperary Cooperative (ECTC) is a not-for-profit community-run company, involving a number of voluntary community energy teams, and a volunteer board of directors. It was set up between a number of Tipperary voluntary parish groups to create community benefit through insulation and energy efficiency schemes. Our main website is The goal of these community-run schemes is to save energy and create work in the area.

Since 2012, ECTC and it’s member communities have secured funding from SEAI for INSULATION and ENERGY EFFICIENCY work. Our panel of contractors, recruited through public tendering on E-Tenders, have been surveying the work to be done. This funding is open to homes in Tipperary and neighbouring areas. Works to be complete by mid-October 2017.
