Terryglass is a picturesque Award Winning Village on the North East shore line of Lough Derg Tipperary. The Terryglass Improvements Association joined the ECTC Better Energy Communities group in 2018, and are currently preparing an SEAI funded Energy Master Plan in 2019, aimed at local business, community, and private houses to raise awareness of energy consumption. With ECTC 6 houses received SEAI grant funding in 2018, and the Community Centre obtained a 50% grant for a new heating system. 2019 will see the first deep retro-fit house project.

This year the school, a dairy farm, and two business premises will have a full energy survey carried out, and a high level survey of private houses will also take place. Late this year an information event will give the outcome and further advice on obtaining grant support for house and business improvements.
